Kim Delaney (born Kim Delaney) is an American actor who is best well-known for her character of detective Diane Russell in ABCs NYPD Blue in which she won an Emmy Award. Also, she has appeared in dramas such as All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives and CSI: Miami. Born as the only daughter of a high-ranking executive in the United Auto Workers and a household worker, Delaney was raised with four brothers. The idea of being a reporter for the court in the early years of her life, however she began modelling in high school and eventually gaining commercials when she moved into New York. Delaney was portrayed as a child's innocence in the soap-opera All My Children. Since then, Delaney has been in a variety of TV dramas and films.
